Sometimes words cannot fully capture a transformation. You have to see it to feel it. When we first walked through the doors of the Swayamsiddha campus in Jamdoli, we saw empty concrete floors, bare walls, and faded paint. But beneath the dust, we saw immense potential. We saw a future where every child and elderly resident had a beautiful and dignified space to learn, connect, and grow.
Today, that vision is a reality. The visual journey of the Forever Learning Centre is a true testament to what immediate and actionable philanthropy can achieve.
The transformation begins right at the entrance. What was once a weathered exterior is now a bright and welcoming gateway. Step inside, and you will find that a once barren concrete courtyard has blossomed into a lush green sanctuary. Complete with comfortable seating and beautiful landscaping, it is now a peaceful environment where residents can find solace and joy.
Inside the building, the change is even more profound. Echoing empty halls have been completely reimagined into environments of purpose. We built four dedicated reading rooms outfitted with beautiful wooden desks, providing exactly 150 dedicated reading seats for focused study. A completely bare hall is now a modern computer room equipped with 12 modern computer systems ready to connect students to the global digital world.
We also made sure to design specific spaces tailored for every generation. The children now have a vibrant and brightly colored room featuring a beautiful, patterned carpet designed to spark creativity and joy. For the elderly, complementing our recently constructed 80 bed Old Age Home facility on campus, we crafted a dignified and spacious room with a large central table and comfortable seating for community gathering. And at the heart of it all stands the book stack room, where once empty floors now hold towering shelves filled with an initial donation of 482 enriching library books.
Active on the ground since 2016, we know this is so much more than just a renovation project. It is the physical embodiment of the MT Suterwalla Family Foundation belief that education is a right not a privilege. By transforming these empty spaces into environments of hope, we are ensuring the futures of these beautiful children are bright, safe, and full of opportunity.
